Hello, interesting article here…
My only yoga experience prior to joining Yoga Sanctuary in Las Vegas was an absolutely brutal experience I had in a scorching hot Bikram yoga class in Southern California. Immediately after the class, I felt drained having lost about 20 lbs. in water weight that evening.
Anyhow, I started practicing yoga every week about four months ago. I was going to class once a week but only after a few weeks, I noticed a dramatic change in my flexibility, stress level, focus, sleeping habits, strength and digestion. Now, I’m going twice a week, sometimes three, and have never felt better. As my good friend, Dave Weichert with Premium Service always says… “In order to believe it, you must experience it.” Well, I’m a firm believer in yoga and often recommend yoga to my friends and patients to maintain elasticiity, endurance, strength and flexibility in their muscles, tendons and ligaments along with joint mobility in their extremities and spine.
Not only is yoga great for chiropractic and chiropractic great for yoga, yoga is an excellent adjunct to the Active Release Techniques® (ART®).
Why?
ART® is used to allow for free and unimpeded movement of muscles, tendons, nerves and joints, to allow for a dramatic change in comfort, flexibility and strength in your yoga practice. For beginner and more advanced yogi’s, ART® Yoga Care is used to “dial in” to the yogi’s injury to improve their form and function.
Ask yourself these questions:
- Is my body interfering with my yoga practice and where do I feel restricted?
- Am I able to move smoothly and easily from one pose to another without aches and pains?
- Do I have any prior injuries that may be contributing to my lack of mobility?
Anyway, here’s an article titled Yoga enhances chiropractic progress:
